Welcome to the Weird Wonder that is the World of Willow Andreasson...
... on this afternoon's show:
The first hour will focus on the day's world news and geek headlines;
The second hour heralds the opening of the doors to the cosy nook that is Willow's Poetry Corner: the Poetry Corner continues its unnerving journey through a future Britain - a dystopian Britain scarred by anarchy, poverty and paranoia - in which all is not as it seems; Having ferried the child survivor of the Ringstone Road event to safety, it becomes apparent to the Professor and the Doctor that the Doctor's wife has been affected by the paranormal powers that they collectively witnessed - and not in an entirely beneficial way - in tonight's first instalment of the sixth chapter of Nigel Kneale's unsettling 1979 opus, 'Quatermass';
We then slip on our warm jackets, don our Wellington Boots and tiptoe across the frost-kissed lawns to Willow's Observatory: tonight, we train the telescope's focus on the mechanics of a stellar death, and the coming disappearance of the nebula Homunculus as its star, Eta Carinae, brightens. We also travel to the planetary system, Keplar 107, to meet a planet that started its life in a chaotic and violent manner;
The comfy cushions are scattered liberally across the deep-pile hearth rugs... the sweet scent of sandalwood serenades the senses as the logs smoulder on the open fire... the teas and coffees are freshly brewing... and I welcome you into my humble yet peaceful abode.
